The Facilities Support role serves the Pelham campus by ensuring all spaces are prepared for ministry, meetings, and events. This position supports campus staff by room setups, assisting with basic facility maintenance, and helping maintain a campus environment that allows ministry to happen effectively. The Facilities Support staff member works closely with the Pelham Operations Director, Central Facilities team, and campus staff to ensure the campus is prepared for weekly ministry and special events.
Campus Setup & Event Support
Ensure rooms are properly set for meetings, classes, and ministry events across the campus.
Prepare and adjust spaces as needed to ensure the campus is ready for weekend worship services.
Work closely with the Pelham Events Coordinator to coordinate facility needs for outside events and special campus activities.
Facilities Maintenance & Care
Perform basic maintenance and repairs as directed by the Pelham Operations Director and Central Facilities staff.
Identify facility issues across campus and communicate solutions or needs to the Operations Director.
Maintain awareness of facility needs during services and events, and address or report issues promptly.
Weekend & Service Support
Be available during the worship service you attend to assist with facility-related needs or problems.
Ensure campus spaces are prepared and functioning properly for weekend services.
Volunteer Team Development
Recruit, train, and lead volunteers who assist with facility setup and support for weekend services.
Communicate setup expectations and responsibilities clearly to volunteers each week.
Team Collaboration
Communicate regularly with the Pelham Operations Director regarding facility issues identified during the week or weekend.
Work collaboratively with Pelham staff to identify facility needs and develop strategies to address them.
Maintain strong communication with staff and volunteers across ministries.
Qualifications & Requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform manual and maintenance-related tasks as needed.
Ability to climb and work safely on a ladder.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
Physical stamina and dexterity to complete a full work shift performing facility-related tasks.
